Our Story
TurboCat arrived in 1980, built by H-P Products with Black & Decker, and you can still order that same mechanism for the wand in your hall closet. Owners searching after a dead head land on a 46-year-old design rather than a discontinued part number.
Open a box badged Vacuflo and you may find the identical H-P Products turbine you already ran for twenty years. The same head ships under Vacuflo, H-P Products, and CVC Inc. labels depending on which system maker ordered the run.
Set a Zoom next to this head and the difference is shell and colorway, Platinum Silver-Gray, Sapphire Blue, or Onyx, not the drive underneath. One owner who home-tested both kept the original, because the taller Zoom shell stopped short of the end tables.
Long-time owners pull the new head out of the box and check the country stamp, because production moved out of Canada at some point. Several report the replacement cleans the same runner as the head it followed after a season of use, and a few disagree. Repairable by Design
Set the head upside down in your lap and the base plate opens, so a worn part costs a part instead of a whole housing. Swap a stretched belt at the kitchen counter in under ten minutes and the same shell goes back on the wand that evening.
